Clifford A. Bloch, MD graduated from the University of Witwatersrand Medical School in 1976, where he received his MD degree and then underwent a 1 year internship in Internal Medicine and Surgery/Anesthesiology followed by his Pediatric residency in Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed a 3 year fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a member of full-time faculty at Children's Hospital and the University of Colorado School of Medicine for 5 ½ years before commencing private practice in 1992. Dr. Bloch is an Associate Clinical Professor, University of Colorado School of Medicine, and is on the Board of the Colorado Affiliate of the American Diabetes Association, a member of the State Committee for Newborn Genetic Screening, and a member of numerous societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, The Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society, The Endocrine Society, The American Diabetes Association, The Colorado Society for Endocrinology and Metabolism, and the Society for Pediatric Endocrinology of the Rocky Mountains. He serves as an executive on the LWPES Professional Affairs Committee and has chaired the National Pediatric Endocrinology Private Practice Committee. He is the author of several articles and is a reviewer for several medical journals . He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.


Sunil Nayak, MD performed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1990. He completed his pediatric internship and residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he was Chief Resident. He completed his Pediatric Endocrine Fellowship training at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in 1997. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. Dr Nayak is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, The Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society, The Colorado Society for Endocrinology and Metabolism, and the Society for Pediatric Endocrinology of the Rocky Mountains. He enjoys skiing, golfing, and running with his dog, Sydney.

Aristides K. Maniatis, MD . Dr. Maniatis is a Colorado native, who graduated with a BA degree from the University of Colorado, double majoring in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. He received his MD degree at Harvard Medical School and did his internship and residency in Pediatrics at Denver Children's Hospital/University of Colorado School of Medicine, followed by his fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at the same institution, graduating in June, 2005. His research includes publications on insulin pump therapy, neuroendocrine complications of brain tumors, and newborn screening for congenital hypothyroidism. His professional interests include general, clinical pediatric endocrinology and diabetes. Dr Maniatis is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, The Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society, The Colorado Society for Endocrinology and Metabolism, and the Society for Pediatric Endocrinology of the Rocky Mountains. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.

Mako Sather, RNC, MSN, CPNP. Mako received her pediatric nursing diploma form the University of Giessen, Germany, followed by her RN in the USA, and her BSN degree at the University of Phoenix. She worked as a pediatric nurse at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital for several years, before joining our staff 6 years ago. She obtained her Masters degree in Nursing, followed by her certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner form the University of Colorado School of Nursing. She did part of her internship at our office, specializing as a Pediatric Endocrine Nurse Practitioner. Mako is a member of the Pediatric Endocrinology Nursing Society, and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Socieity of Nursing. She is available to assist the physicians in the follow-up of selected patients at our primary office and some of our satellite offices. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Lisa Farr, R.D., CDE. Lisa received her B.S. in Dietetics from Kansas State University and later became a Certified Diabetes Educator in 2001. Prior to joining PEA, she worked in endocrinology practices in Dallas, Texas and in Denver. In her free time, she enjoys music, reading, and hiking with her husband, son, and golden retriever Copper.

Natalie Bloch, B.A.(hon)(social work), B.A.(Elementary Education) Natalie received her social work degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, and her teaching diploma from Metro State College. She has been the office manager of Pediatric Endocrine Associates since its inception in 1992.
